Last update: 20 sept. 2026.

update: 17 sept. 2026.  On 19 September 2026, our nursery celebrates World Bamboo Day under the global theme "Bamboo Beyond Borders", highlighting bamboo's importance in sustainable development, climate resilience, and international cooperation.

YOUR SUPPORT

A special highlight is the presentation by mr. Uday Yogi, a 4th year Nepalese B.Sc. student at HAS Green Academy (Den Bosch, NL), which is the launch of a fundraising campaign for an important project in Nepal: the establishment of 50.000 hectares of bamboo for carbon sequestration, erosion control, sustainable raw material production, and Human Wildlife conflict mitigation. In his presentation Uday will explain the background, goals and planning of this project where he and his family is taking part in.

ECOLOGICAL RESTORATION FOR NEPAL

The initiative comes at a particularly meaningful moment, as Nepal continues to recover from the devastating floods and landslides that recently affected large parts of the country. Through bamboo cultivation, the project aims to contribute to both ecological restoration and long-term community resilience. Future plantations will be supplied and supported by the Yogi family’s nursery company in Nepal, while funds raised through the fundraising campaign will directly support them making the research and development activities essential to the project’s success.
